Mount Mera Peak (6654m)

Mount Mera peak 6654 meter height from sea level and it is permitted trekking peak in Nepal. Its stands to the south of Mount Everest & dominates the watershed between heavily wooded valley of the Inkhu. J.O. M. Roberts & Sen Tenzing made the fist successfully summit of Mera peak on 20 May 1953, till to date, it is being 59 years. The route they used is still the standard and fallowing who comes for climbing Mera peak every year.

Mera peak is one of the most popular of Nepal’s 18 “Trekking Peaks”. From the trekker, the walk from Lukla through the Sherpa country of the remote Inkhu valley is an unforgettable experience, offering superb scenery, and abundant wildlife – including rumored sightings of the legendary yeti. Mera peak climbing is easy trekking peak in Nepal. You can do ski descending from the near TOP. From Top of Mera peak can see Mount Everest 8848m. Mount Makalu 8464m. Mount Kanchanjunga 8586m. Mount Lhotse 8516meters as well as many tiny mountains. When reach the TOP of mount Mera peak and climber feels reached a haven.

About 700 to 1000 Nepali guides and mountaineers climb the 6654m. Mera peak each year, an achievement which requires mountaineering skills and permit from the Nepal Mountaineering Association.

 

SUGGESTED ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu & Transfer hotel
Meet and greet in kathmandu airport/transfer to down town hotel.
Overnight stay in Kathmandu Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu full day.
Breakfast/city tour of kathmandu vally
We will apply for necessary permits prepare expedition & briefing.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla & trek to Chutanga – lodge
We leave Kathmandu by early morning by Chutang –lodge.
Overnight stay in Lodge at Chutanga.

Day 04: Chutanga Zatra La Pass 4600m. – Chatrarbu – Lodge
Overnight stay in Lodge at Chatrarbu.

Day 05: Chatrarbu (Thuli Khark) – Kothey 3090m. – Lodge
Overnight stay in Lodge at Kothey.

Day 06: Kothey – Thangnak 4355meters- Lodge
Overnight stay in Lodge at Thangnak.

Day 07: Thangnak – Khare 5095 meters – Lodge
Overnight stay in Lodge at Khare.

Day 08: Khare – Rest day for acclimatizing / day hiking
Overnight stay in Lodge at Khare.

Day 09: Khare – High Camp 5800m. Tented camping
Overnight stay in Lodge at High Camp.

Day 10: H.C. – Mera peak summit -back to Khare
Overnight stay in Lodge at Khare.

Day 11: Khare – Kothey – Lodge
Overnight stay in Lodge at Kothey.

Day 12: Kothey – Chatrarbu (Thuli Khark) – Lodge
Overnight stay in Lodge at Chatrarbu.

Day 13: Chatrarbu (Thuli Khark) – Lukla – Lodge

Day 14: Fly Lukla – Kathmandu & transfer to hotel

What does our entire Peak Climb cost include?

  • Warm welcome with garlands/flower by our guest relation officer on arrival counter of Tribhuvan international airport, Kathmandu.
  • Transfer from international airport to the hotel by AC/Non AC car/van/coach as per group size.
  • Luggage van extra for large size group.
  • A cell/satellite phone is provided on arrival to communicate between the group & agency.
  • Welcome drinks (tea/coffee/juice as per guest request).
  • 04 nights’ accommodation with bed and breakfast in 5 star deluxe hotel on twin sharing basis.
  • All transfers according to the climbing itinerary. (private transfers are according to the group size)
  • One full day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu valley with international language speaking guide.
  • Three course of delicious and hygienic meals (tea/coffee, breakfast, lunch & dinner) each day as per the best availability until base camp. (Veg. & Non Veg.)
  • Fresh fruits are provided as per availability reroute of Trekking.
  • Twin sharing camping/lodge accommodation in the trekking route. (If a group size is 10+ one additional Sherpa is provided to arrange everything along the way)
  • Climbing Sherpa and supporting Sherpa having vast experienced with advanced equipments up to the summit.
  • Other climbing crews; sirdar, guide, assistant guide, cook, porter depends on group size. (Guides are well trained for group management and high altitude treatment from Govt. authorities / Private colleges as well as years of experience)
