Mt. Kusum Kangru (6367 m)

Mt. Kusum Kangru (6367 m)

Mt. Kusum Kanguru(6,367m) is a triple summit mountain in the Khumbu Region of Nepal. There is a predominance of the Sherpa people in the Khumbu region, and according to the Sherpa language, Kusum Kanguru means, ‘Three Snow-White Gods’. The interesting name was given with reference to the three summits the pinnacle exhibits. When seen from the south-face side, the Kusum Kanguru looks like a scary rock with an extremely challenging climb. The mighty peak is also considered to be the border between the Dudhkosi and the Hinku Valley.

Novices are not advised to go for the Kusum Kangaro peak climbing in Nepal, as there are certain climbing skills required, that can only be gained with experience in mountaineering. The most amazing and brilliant side of the Mt. Kusum Kanguru is the north-face side. The mountain looks more scary and dominating than peaceful and welcoming. The Mt. Kusum Kanguru base camp is set at a height of 4,360m above sea level. The 45 and 75 degrees steep climbs on ice makes the whole climbing process difficult, but certainly very adventurous. This breathtaking snowy white-mountain can be seen by trekkers on their way to Everest Base Camp.
