Since commercial climbing for Mount Everest started in 1990, the dream of adventure lovers has come to success. Most iconic peaks on earth encircle Everest Base Camp Trek, located at the foot of the Khumbu Glacier at an altitude of 5,500m. Each spring, hundreds of international mountaineers reach successfully to the base camp of Everest. The majority of their time, however, isn’t just climbing but also enjoying the beauty, resting and camping. A mixture of Tibetan and Nepali culture too can be experienced in Everest Region Nepal.

Mount Everest Base Camp trekking takes you along the most amazing trekking routes in the magnificent Khumbu region of Nepal. The trek has all the adventures required to leave you with unforgettable memories of the EBC trek. There are a number of opportunities to acclimatize before you hit the higher altitude during the trek.

Everest Base Camp Route:

14 days Everest Base Camp Trek starts at Lukla which is about 30min flight from the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. As soon as the flight lands in Lukla, a new environment that greets shall sure delight you. It’s a different experience where culture is different from the other parts of the country. As you pack up and prepare to leave, you’ll bid goodbye to civilization as you begin the ascent towards Everest Base Camp. The beautiful and serene mountain villages, the friendly people, and breath-taking view of the mountain make this trip a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

Along the entire trek to Everest Base Camp, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, and Gorakshep are the halting points. Everest Base Camp trek is one of the highest altitudes in the world, we shall ascend slowly acclimatizing and adapting ourselves to the climate. Namche Bazaar also regarded as the trading point of Everest is where people come to the villages to buy and trade their goods.

The beauty of Khumbu Glacier too shall make this trek interesting. One shall be far away from the busy streets, mobile phones and technology experiencing the peaceful environment of villages. As part of the trek, you’ll also get a chance to visit a few of the monasteries and gompas in Nepal like the historic Tengboche Monastery. Each stop along the route is an experience in culture and hospitality. The trek to Everest Base Camp is an adventure that you must experience for yourself.

  • Day 01
    Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 M) & Transfer to Hotel
    • Upon arrival at the Kathmandu International Airport, transfer to the hotel by our office representative. Evening free for exploration of the surroundings around Thamel.

      Meals: No | Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 02
    Full Day Kathmandu Sightseeing & Trekking Preparation Day
    • Day for sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath , Pashupatinath & Bouddhanilkantha. Evening Meditation class.

      Meals: Breakfast Only | Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 03
    Flight from Ktm – Lukla and Trek to Phakding (2652m) 3 – 4 Hours
    • Early morning yoga class. Then, 40 minute scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the Everest Base Camp journey begins from Lukla and continues to Phakding, which takes approximately 3 hours. Along the way you will have a fantastic and clear view of Mount Nupla (5885m), Mount KusumKangaru (6367m) and the Mount Kwongde Range. Evening Meditation class.

  • Day 04
    Phakding Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) 5-6 Hours
    • Early morning yoga class. Then, breakfast & beginning with a slight climb to Jhorsalle, the trail passes through waterfalls and other culturally and naturally occurring items of interest. During the day, we will pass through Sherpa villages and magnificent forests. The Rhododendron trees (Laligurans, National flower of Nepal) Magnolia trees and giant firs provide a breathtaking backdrop to this part of the trek. Along the way if the weather permits then you will be rewarded with your first glimpse of KusumKangru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m) Everest (8848m) and Nuptse (7879 m). A steep climb up to the beautiful village of Namche bazaar (3440m) will afford you further spectacular views and a comfortable place to spend the second night of the trek. Evening Meditation class.

  • Day 05
    Acclimatization Day in Namche (3440m)
    • Acclimatization is most important before proceeding to a higher elevation. It is therefore recommended that you take a short day’s hike to Thame, Khunde, Khumjung or up to Everest view hotel which provides a very close up view of Mt Everest or relax and explore the Sherpa culture of Namche. Evening Meditation class.

  • Day 06
    Namche Bazaar Trek to Tengboche (3,867m) 5 – 6 Hours
    • Then, breakfast & walking for about one hour we will arrive at Phungithanga. From there the trail climbs through forests where we can spot musk deer. Tengboche is sited on a saddle at 3870m in a clear surrounded by dwarf firs and Rhododendrons. Kwongde (6187m), Tawache(6542m) , Everest (8848m), Nuptse (7855m), Lhotse (8618m), Amadablam (6856m), Thamserku (6608m) provide an inspiring panorama of Himalayan giants. We can also visit the Buddhist Monastery at Tengboche which is the largest one in Khumbu region. Evening Meditation class.

  • Day 07
    Tenghoche Trek to Dingboche (4360m) 5 – 6 Hours
    • Early morning yoga class. In the morning views of mountain and monasteries are spectacular in Tengboche. We descent most of the morning in the theImjatse Khola, through the forest of birches conifers and rhododendrons. Then, breakfast & as we follow the river northward the trails, we pass through several chortens, mani walls and small villages. On the way we will have best view of Amadablam. Upon arrival at Dingboche, we can enjoy the beautiful array of fields enclosed by stone walls to protect the barley, buckwheat and potatoes. The views are great from Dingboche, we can also observe Island Peak, Makalu and another face of Amadablam. Evening Meditation class.

  • Day 08
    Rest Day at Dingboche for Acclimatization (4360m)
    • Early morning yoga class. Then, breakfast & again walking up and then descending back is better than just resting in high altitude, a short hike or 400 m climb to the NangkartshangGompa on the ridge north of Dingboche. From Nangkartshang a good view of Makalu (8463 meters) can be observed. Alternately we can follow an epic trail along the ImjaKhola to Chhukung which is 4 to 5 hours longer walk. Evening Meditation class.

  • Day 09
    Dingboche Trek to Lobuche (4940m) 5 Hours
    • Early morning yoga class. Breakfast & then continue our journey from Dingboche through the high alpine region to the conclusion of Luboche and stay overnight. On the way to Lobuche we cross the glacial frozen river at Thukla and climb up hill, watching magnificent view of Cholatse, Lobuche, Pumori and Nuptse. Evening Meditation class.

  • Day 10
    Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170m), Trek to Ebc (5364m) & Back To Gorakshep 7 – 8 Hours
    • Early morning yoga class. Then, breakfast & the first section of the trail from Lobuche follows the narrow gap between the glacial moraine and the mountain wall then crosses tributary glaciers to reach the dry lake bed of GokrakShep. Stopping for lunch at Gorekshep, Walk to Everest Base Camp and explore the area famous for so many climbing expeditions to Mt Everest. The Base Camp area provides an opportunity to experience the freezing and harsh conditions that mountaineers are brave enough to summit this famous mountain. After exploring the Everest Base Camp we trek back to Gorakshep. Evening Meditation class.

  • Day 11
    Gorak Shep Trek to Kala Patthar (5545m), Trek Back To Pheriche (4280 M) 7-8 Hrs
    • Early morning yoga class. Then, breakfast & we start early in the morning as mornings are usually sparkling and clear and the best time to climb the Kalapathar, which is the highlight of the trekking. We will be rewarded the 360 degree dramatic panorama views of Mt Everest and surroundings mountains. On trekking back to GorakShep, we have our breakfast followed by a gradual descend down to Pheriche for a good night’s rest. Evening Meditation class.

      Meals: Breakfast Only I Overnight at Teahouse Lodge at Pheriche (4280m).

  • Day 12
    Pheriche Trek to Namche Bazaar via Pangboche and Tengboche: 6-7 Hour
    • Early morning yoga class. Then, breakfast & we will trek down through the hillside blanketed by rhododendron and juniper trees. If it’s spring, pink and red rhododendron flowers ablaze the surroundings. From Tengboche the trail goes down to PhunkiThanga, from here the trail goes through the pine forests and we can have a chance to monitor the wild life including mountain goats, snow leopard and colourful pheasants, finally we will arrive at Namche. Evening Meditation class.

  • Day 13
    Namche Bazaar Trek Back to Phakding (2,652m): 4-5 Hour
    • Early morning yoga class. Then, breakfast & the trail descends steeply downward before crossing the suspension bridges on DudhKoshi River. From here the trail becomes more level and natural. We will walk through rhododendron and pine forests with the view of distance snow covered peak before arriving at Phakding. Evening Meditation class.

      Meals: Breakfast Only | Overnight at Teahouse Lodge at Phakding (2652m).

  • Day 14
    Phakding Trek Back To Lukla (2,850):3-4 Hour
    • Early morning yoga class. Then, breakfast & we trek back to Lukla along the same trail, although it always looks different coming from the opposite direction. We have a short day of trekking, so we can arrive Lukla for Lunch, arriving earlier is wiser in the season time to check the flight ticket. We will relax and recall the experience of the lifetime journey in the afternoon. Evening Meditation class.

      Meals: Breakfast Only I Overnight at Teahouse Lodge at Lodge (2850m).

  • Day 15
    Flight from Lukla – Ktm (45 Min) & Free Day
    • Early morning yoga class. Then, scheduled Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Transfer from Kathmandu Airport to the hotel.

      Meals: Breakfast Only | Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 16
    Transfer to the Airport for Your Final Departure
    • Early morning yoga class. Transfer to Kathmandu International Airport for journey onward or you can follow our extension options such as Mount Everest Flight, Paragliding, Bunjee Jumping, etc.

      Meals: Breakfast Only.
