General Information

Trekking is one of the most famous activities in Nepal, and trekkers visit the city of Kathmandu and the trekking center, Pokhara, with all the required equipment and gears for the trek. These equipment and gears can either be purchased or rented. Mountaineers find the Himalayan region of Nepal highly interesting. People of all ages and abilities endeavor a trek in the nation and go for different trekking expedition in Nepal every year. You could touch base in Kathmandu without any plans and be on the trail in a matter of days, all you need is some training, expert advise and your travel gears.

Trekking in Nepal is fun. It offers trekkers the opportunity to know more about the Tibetan Nepali mixed cultures that the Buddhists and Hindus follow in the Himalayan region. Explorers find it to be more exciting than dangerous, and frequently find reasons to keep coming back every year. There are little towns and villages with farmlands, terrace farming and vegetation along the trekking routes.

The routinely dispersed towns and teahouses offer trekkers a chance to rest, either for a couple of minutes or a night. 2016 onwards there are internationally recognized UIAGM/IFMGA qualified mountain guides, trained in Nepal. Trekking in Nepal for Everest Base Camp is safer than it used to be a few years ago. There are better equipment and modern techniques to stay protected from frostbites and also reach the destination faster. At Virgin Trails, we can proudly say that we are undoubtedly the Best Nepal Trekking Tours Agency. We have been serving customers from across the globe since the last 18 year and we have no plans to stop now.

The Best Seasons to Trek:

The best seasons for trekking are the dry and warm seasons, March-June and September-November. The temperature is tolerable and the atmosphere is generally clear in these months. During the storm season, the downpour generally comes in the evening; days are shady with less rain. The north side of the Himalayas is in rain shadow. Annapurna Circuit is in rain shadow and it rains incidentally. In the mornings the sky is more clear, however, avalanches may hinder the trekking courses.

Treks in Restricted Territories :

There are certain restricted areas, for example, upper mustang trekking in Nepal, Dolpo, Manaslu, Tsum Valley, Nar-Phu, and Kanchenjunga. These require trekking permits, and the local trekking offices need to be consulted for it. A TIMS card isn’t required as long as you have the special restricted trekking permit. You are not permitted to travel alone in these regions, which means you ought to have at any rate one guide while trekking.

Trek Legally and Responsibly:

  • On the off chance that you trek freely, you are not permitted to take any staff by law, Virgin Trails is an authorized trekking agency, and we are approved to utilize staff for outside trekkers. Hiring of independent guides might not be a good idea.
  • You is not trash disposable system in the Himalayas. Do not carry disposable water bottles, cans and other trash along with you during your trek with a plan to dispose them somewhere in the mountains. It is advised to carry your own mini water filter instead of carrying water.
  • You can give your clothes to the porters’ clothing bank after your trek. The bank is managed by the KEEP association. This bank is located in the Thamel neighborhood of Kathmandu and provides clothes to the trekking porters.
