Twin Valley Tour With Ghandruk  will take to the trip of two famous valley viz. Kathmandu valley & Pokhara Valley of Nepal Which is also all known all over the world. KTM valley is famous for its cultural & historical heritage sites enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Pokhara Valley (city of geographical wonders) is abundant with Natural beauty of Himalayas, caves lakes, etc. Ghandruk is small village is a pass way for Annapurna Base Camp. It is very famous for short trek.

  • Day 01

    Arrival at the Tribhuwan Int`l Airport in Kathmandu (1,345m) & transfer to hotel.

    Arrival at Kathmandu Int`l airport. Meet, welcome by our official representative & transfer to hotel. Welcome drink followed by tour briefing.

    Meals: No I Overnight stay at hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 02

    Pre-trip meeting and sightseeing & visiting around the Kathmandu valley

    At around 8 am, we host a pre-trip meeting at your hotel in Kathmandu and introduce your guide. Please seek this opportunity to ask questions about your tour. This includes a final briefing and preparations for the trip. For the meeting, please make sure you bring passport, two copies of passport-size photos, and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. During this meeting, please clear the due balance, if any, and sign the legally binding trip form as well as the non-liability disclaimer. Please inform us in advance if you will be arriving late and therefore are unable to attend the pre-trip meeting.

    After the pre-trip meeting, your sightseeing trip will start at around 8:30 am. You will have a private vehicle and a professional tour guide (if needed) at your disposal.

    Destinations we cover:

    Kathmandu Durbar Square
    This complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built between the 12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of the ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu. An intriguing piece here is the 17th- century stone inscription set into the wall of the palace with writings in 15 languages. The Durbar Square is the social, religious and urban focal point of the city. There are also three museums inside the palace building.

    Bouddhanath Stupa (the Buddhist largest stupa in the world)
    Bouddhanath stupa is another must visited place in Kathmandu valley enlisted in world heritage sites in 1979Ad by UNESCO .This colossal stupa is known by the bouddhanath, the God of wisdom. This Bauddha stupa was built just after the demise of Lord Buddha and is the largest single Chhorten in the World.

    Swoyambhunath Stupa /Monkey temple ( 2000 years old Buddhist Stupa)
    A golden spire crowning a conical wooded hill, Swayambhunath Stupa is the most ancient and enigmatic of all the holy shrines in Kathmandu valley. Its lofty white dome and glittering golden spire are visible for many miles and from all sides of the valley built during the 5th century AD.
    Watches over the valley from the top of a hillock on its western side. Its establishment is linked to the creation of the Kathmandu Valley out of a primordial lake. Swayambhu is also known as Samhengu and the Monkey temple because of the countless monkeys living in the premises.

    Pasupatinath Temple (one of the biggest, sacred and famous Hindu temple in Nepal)
    Pashupatinath temple is also one of world heritage site listed by UNESCO. It is one of the holiest Hindu shrines in the world. It is dedicated to a manifestation of Shiva called Pashupati (Lord of Animals) which is built in the familiar pagoda style during fifth century by King Prachanda Dev.

  • Day 03

    Drive Kathmandu -Pokhara (200km/6-7hrs.)

    Breakfast & drive for Pokhara (200KM / 6 hours) observing the scenic views on the national highway along the Trishuli River. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Evening walk around the tourist area of Lake Side and enjoy the view of western Himalayan ranges with Mt. Fishtail (Machhaphuchre).

  • Day 04

    Sightseeing & visiting around Pokhara Valley

    Breakfast & rest of the day is sightseeing & visiting around Pokhara.

    Destinations we cover:

    Phewa Lake and Barahi Temple

    Situated at an altitude of 800m above sea level, it is the second largest lake in the kingdom. With the Barahi Island Temple in the middle of the lake it is the most important religious monument in Pokhara. Built almost in the middle of Phewa Lake, this two-storied pagoda is dedicated to the female force Shakti. The reflection of Mt. Machhapuchhare and Annapurna can be seen in its serene water. Thick forest lies on the adjoining southern slopes of the lake.

    Devi’s fall

    Locally known as Patale Chhango and in the southern flank of the Pokhara valley is where the stream flowing from Fewa Lake collapses and surges down the rock into a deep gorge, leaping through several potholes. This is hugely popular with tourists and locals alike.

    Gupteswar Cave

    The revered Gupteswar Cave is situated 2 kms from Pokhara airport. The entrance is right across from Devi’s fall and the cave is almost 3 kms long. It has some big hall-sized rooms and some passages where you have to crawl on all four. This cave holds special value to Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is preserved here in the condition it was discovered.

    Museums

    During the tour, we will visit two different museums: one museum displays the lifestyles and history of the Gurungs, Thakalis and Tharu while the other, Gurkha Memorial Museum, is dedicated to the famous Gurkha Warriors who earned their name in many fierce battles fought during the World Wars and numerous operations around the world since 1815. The soldiers of the Gurkha regiment won 13 Victoria Cross medals awarded for exceptional bravery shown in the field.

  • Day 05

    Pokhara – Nayapul -Tikhedunga – Ulleri (village)

    After Breakfast at your Hotel in Kathmandu or Pokhara, take a private car to Nayapul. If you start trek from Kathmandu, you will take an early flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara then drive to Nayapul. It is about 1:30 hours to get there. We start our trekking from Nayapul. During the hike we pass many local villages, teahouses, gentle green rolling hills, rivers and local people.After crossing the Tikhedunga Khola on the suspension bridge, the trail begins to climb up quite steeply on a stone staircase that is more than 3200 steps. After climbing the hill we can see Mt. Annapurna south (7219m.) and Hiunchuli (6441m.). Nayapul to Ulleri (1960m, 4-5 hours walking) and then overnight at Lodge.

  • Day 06

    Ulleri– Nangethanti – Ghorepani Deurali

    It is a very pleasant part of the trek. We walk in the jungle most of the day. If you come in the spring you will see a lot of Rhododendron flowers. You have the chance to see many wild birds and animals. You can see a great view of many snow capped mountains. Ulleri to Ghorepani(2874m, 5hour walking) and then night stay at Lodge.

  • Day 07

    Ghorepani – Poon Hill – Tadapani – Ghandruk

    We get up early in the morning with warm clothes and climb up Poonhill(3210m.). It is not necessary to take much with us as we return later to collect our main rucksacks. It is about one hour walking to get to Poonhill (3210m). You will see the best sunrise and magnificent view of the Himalayas like Annapurna South, Bahari shikhar, Hiuchuli, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri ranges, Tukuche peak, Annapurna I,II,III,IV, Lamjung Himal, Mt.Manaslu ranges, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and others mountains. After this unforgettable view, we come back to Ghorepani for breakfast. Trek to Ghandruk. The hike starts with quite a steep uphill section to Deurali pass. It is a similar elevation to Poonhill. We will see all the mountains from here as well. After that we hike down to Tadapani. We continue hike to Ghandruk through the Baisi Kharka (Buffalo pasture).  Ghandruk  is one of the biggest villages of Gurung people. There is the Gurung Culture Museum. We can go and see the way of life of the Gurung people.From this village we can still see views of snow peaks.Ghorepani to Ghandruk (1939m, 6-7 hours walking) and then night stay at Lodge.

  • Day 08

    Ghandruk – Nayapul – Pokhara

    If it is a clear morning we may see Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre (fishtail) and Annapurna III very close. We have our breakfast with views.This day; we walk to Kimche from Ghandruk. It takes slowly 2 hours trek. From Kimche, we 2 hours’ drive back to Pokhara.

  • Day 09

    Drive Kathmandu – Pokhara (200km/6-7hrs.)

    Breakfast & drive back to Kathmandu. Arrive Kathmandu and check into hotel. Rest of the day is free for personal activities – shopping, visiting around tourist hub of Thamel etc. Finally return to hotel & overnight.

  • Day 10

    Transfer to the airport for your final departure

    After breakfast, our airport representative will drop you back to Airport for your final departure with “sweet memory” of Nepal.
