Jugal Himal and Panch Pokhari Trekking is one of the popular trekking destinations in the Rolwaling Himal region of Nepal. The main attraction is the five lakes (Panch Pokhari) that lie close to one another and are conserved for the religious significance that they portray. Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims pay visits to the Panch Pokhari during the festival season. The villages are inhabited by Sherpa and Tamang people and the trekking course leads around the Helambu territory, another wonderful trekking destination. The eastern side of Kathmandu valley offers a number of excellent trekking opportunities for the admirers of Nepal’s natural beauty.
The Jugal Himal and Panch Pokhari Trekking begins at Chautara and ends at Melamchipul Bazaar. Enjoy spectacular views of the hills and peaks from higher elevations during the trek. There are rivers and terrace farms around the settlements where the locals welcome you for tea and rest. The experience of resting in a tented camp near a lake under a starry night sky is absolutely out of this world. Trekkers have reported to have seen some of Nepal’s exotic animals and birds while trekking from Nasimpati to Dukhang. Some of the other major attractions of the trek are the oak, bamboo and rhododendron forests that you pass by as you go higher up in altitude.
